CREATING A WEBSITE
The entire collection of web pages and other information that are made available a unique URL that corresponds to the site's home page.
For creating a web sites, you must first state your goals and identify what you want to accomplish.
You will need to make a list of what the site should achieve.
Take into consideration : the audience, the reason why the people will visit your site, any modifications etc.

Your site is like a theatre and your visitors are the actors; for example in an school' site, visitors can be divided into categories: students, parents, teachers, admin staff.
They will all use the site in different ways, so we now need to invent a scenarios.
Once you are confident that you have included all possible visitors, you can add these to your website design document.
Having determined the type of visitor who will visit your site, you will need to identify your web content. you need to decide how much content is appropriate and what form in should take.
Page content can be divided into various categories:
- static content: those page that will never change ( course book ,school rules, school fees)
- dynamic content: those pages which change frequently such as a page whit today's date , latest news...
- transactional content: those page that interact whit the user such as on-line registration, password control.
The majority of pages tend to contain only static content but page can be a mixture of any content types.
Defining a site structure is your last step before you start creating web pages.
Keep navigation as simple as possible, for each scenario create a root where the actors select their role and their path through the site.
These roots on your home page should be meaningful, uncomplicated. visitors should never be confused.
There are many tools to help you create your web pages, you may require a commercial product, such as Dreamweaver, that offers a full package for creating and managing your site.
